A&M Small Engines is a family run business that brings our customers some of the best and most reliable power equipment available.

We believe in great customer service and strive to “treat others as we want to be treated”. As an authorized dealer, we are continually upgrading our knowledge of the products we sell & service, working hand in hand with the manufacturers. Staff members continue to attend manufacturer’s seminars to stay current with any new information and technology. Our team is small but we believe in doing our best possible work, and we are proud to have been able to bring good jobs to people from our local community.

On April fool’s Day in 1985 we opened a very small and humble business on Front Street in Pictou.  The next year we purchased a lot of land in Lyons Brook to build our own, larger location to better serve our customers as the business grew. As we continued to grow and acquired more inventory, we had to add on another piece to the building, actually doubling in size. This location served us and our customers very well for over 25 years. In 2016 we moved our business to its present location the old creamery building in Scotsburn to provide us with the  additional space required to continue to grow with a large showroom, parts room and repair area to help better serve you, our customer.For more information on our products, services or the equipment available for rent, we invite you to explore our website. We are authorized service dealers for Briggs & Stratton, Kohler and MTD manufactured engines and service most makes and models stocking a large parts inventory.
